Product identification and traceability

EP Watches identifies its models through the product name and product reference used on the product page, order records and, where applicable, the official certificate supplied with the watch. Keep your order confirmation and certificate, as they help us identify the watch for warranty, service and traceability purposes.

Water and humidity

Water resistance is model-specific. Only rely on a water-resistance rating that is expressly stated for your particular watch on the product page, certificate or accompanying documentation. If no water-resistance rating is stated, do not assume that the watch is suitable for immersion.

  • Never operate the crown or chronograph pushers while the watch is wet.
  • Avoid hot showers, steam rooms and saunas, even when a watch has a stated water-resistance rating.
  • Water resistance can be reduced over time by wear, ageing of seals, impacts, servicing or improper use.

Impacts, magnetism and temperature

  • Avoid strong shocks, drops and repeated impacts.
  • Keep mechanical watches away from strong magnetic fields.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme heat or cold and sudden temperature changes.

Case, crystal, bracelet and strap

Stop wearing the watch and contact EP Watches if the crystal is cracked, the case or bracelet is seriously damaged, a component becomes loose, or continued use could cause injury or further damage.

If you experience skin irritation while wearing a watch, bracelet or strap, discontinue use and seek appropriate medical advice where necessary.

Battery-powered and meca-quartz models

Some EP Watches models use a replaceable button-cell battery. Battery replacement and opening of the case should be performed by a competent watch technician to preserve the watch and its seals.

  • Keep removed button-cell batteries and small watch components away from children.
  • Never place a battery in the mouth or ingest it. Button-cell ingestion is a medical emergency and requires immediate medical attention.
  • Dispose of used batteries through an appropriate battery collection or recycling channel.

Children and small parts

EP Watches timepieces are not toys. Keep removed spring bars, screws, batteries and other small components away from children.

Cleaning and maintenance

Clean the watch with a soft, dry cloth. A slightly damp cloth may be used on suitable metal bracelets, followed by careful drying. Avoid aggressive chemicals, solvents and detergents.

For mechanical watches, EP Watches recommends a periodic service, typically around five years depending on use and condition. Water resistance should be checked whenever the case is opened and periodically where water exposure is expected.

Warranty and safety concerns

The EP Watches 3-year commercial warranty is subject to its warranty conditions and is additional to any mandatory legal rights that may apply. If you believe a watch has a safety-related defect, stop using it and contact us with the product reference, order number and a clear description of the issue.
