Héritage Open Heart — A Watch Built Around What You Can See
Some watches are designed around what they conceal. Héritage Open Heart was designed around what it reveals.
At the centre of its textured green dial, the open-heart display exposes part of the mechanical movement in action. Around it, the integrated stainless-steel case and bracelet create a more architectural, contemporary presence. The result is a watch that connects two ideas central to EP Watches: visible mechanics and the meaning we attach to time.
Why the name Héritage?
“Héritage” means heritage: something received, carried forward and eventually passed on. For EP Watches, the name is less about looking backwards than about continuity.
A mechanical watch is an appropriate object for that idea. Its function depends on a sequence of physical parts working together, while its emotional value can grow through the moments in which it is worn. A watch can begin as a personal choice and later become connected to memories, people and milestones.
Héritage was created around that tension between the present and what remains after it.

Mechanical movement made visible
The open-heart aperture is the defining feature of the dial. Through it, the oscillation of the movement can be seen while the watch is running.
Héritage Open Heart uses the TMI NH38 automatic mechanical movement, the same movement family that plays an important role in other open-heart EP Watches models. The NH38 uses 24 jewels, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), supports automatic and manual winding and includes a seconds-stop function for time setting. TMI specifies a running duration of more than 41 hours under its test conditions.
There is no date window competing for space on the dial. That allows the textured surface, applied details and mechanical opening to remain the visual focus.

A different expression of the EP Watches design language
L’Origine introduced open-heart mechanics to the story of EP Watches with a more traditional case-and-strap configuration. Héritage takes that mechanical idea in a different direction.
Its integrated stainless-steel case and bracelet create a continuous form from the watch head into the wrist. Polished and brushed surfaces add contrast as the light moves across the metal, while the deep green dial gives the watch a strong identity without relying on excessive decoration.
The result sits between everyday elegance and sport-chic design. It can be visually assertive without becoming oversized in character, and mechanical without becoming visually complicated.
Why green?
Green changes dramatically with light. In a darker environment it can appear restrained and almost neutral; under stronger light the texture becomes more visible and the colour gains depth.
That makes it particularly suitable for a watch designed around movement and changing reflections. The dial is not intended to look identical from every angle. Its character develops as the wrist moves.

Hand-assembled and individually checked in Switzerland
Like current EP Watches timepieces, Héritage Open Heart is hand-assembled and individually checked in Switzerland at the EP Watches atelier in Vuisternens-devant-Romont.
EP Watches works with specialised components rather than claiming complete in-house manufacture. The watch is brought together as a finished design through component selection, assembly, adjustment, inspection and final preparation.
Each piece is delivered with an official EP Watches certificate and the brand’s current 3-year commercial warranty, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
A watch about what continues
The most obvious thing Héritage reveals is its movement. The deeper idea is less technical.
Time is always moving, whether we look at it or not. By making part of that motion visible, Héritage Open Heart turns a mechanical function into a reminder: what we build, experience and pass forward is what gives time its meaning.
That is why the watch is called Héritage.

Some moments pass. Others become heritage.
